Alone against the wind
On July 23, 2001 after 343 days non-stop at sea Wilfried Erdmann returns safely with "Kathena nui" to Cuxhafen. He is the first and only German who sailed around the world in both directions. Germany's most known cruising sailor managed the 32000 nautical miles only with maximum efforts. Heavy storms as well as shortage of water and food meant almost the end of the voyage. All 12 sails Wilfried Erdmann had on board were made from DIMENSION-POLYANT Sailcloth. DIMENSION-POLYANT congratulates to this outstanding sailing performance.
