Dimension-Polyant’s new force: Discover fiber queen Tyra PLY® on the rise
Dimension-Polyant has been researching, developing, and manufacturing world-beating sailcloth for more than half a century. This wealth of experience is the foundation on which new products come into the limelight that are ahead of their time. The latest evolution has now celebrated its world premiere. Let’s talk about Tyra PLY®.
The new star product from the Dimension-Polyant tech forge is ready to take regatta scenes by storm. May that be in Sailing, Kitesurfing, Wing-Foiling or Windsurfing.
And that’s done! Three months of sailing in often hard conditions to reach the wild coasts of Northeast Greenland!
The VIA SEDNA team of 8 women, led by Marta Guemes, our technical sales representative in France, succeeded in the project initially imagined: a round trip to Greenland from La Rochelle and the opening of a new climbing route in the granite walls of the Scoresby Sund.
First climate-neutral sailcloth with bio-based Dyneema® fibers
Dimension-Polyant presents the first 100 percent climate-neutral sailcloth with bio-based raw material at the Nautic Paris Boat Show. The company’s premium product Hydra Net® radial is now manufactured with bio-based Dyneema® fibers. This makes the leading manufacturer of sailcloth the world's first and only supplier of a climate-neutral sailcloth with bio-based raw material.

New Order of Fashion
Last week the Dutch Design Week 2021 took place and Uwe Stein, Managing Director of Dimension-Polyant, was there to talk to students about possibilities to recycle sailcloth. This journey was part of our cooperation with New Order of Fashion. We are looking forward to new ideas and suggestions and to this close partnership with innovative and creative young people.
Excellent
Our current trainee Ms. Heynen was trained as a machine and plant operator textile/finishing and in phase 2 of her training as a product finisher textile. We congratulate her very warmly on her very good final grade!
Of course, we would like to maintain this level and so we are also working hard for all future trainees!
Mini Transat 2021
The Mini Transat is running and the participants have already weathered the first storms. Shortly before the start in Les Sables d’Olonne, Marta Guemes, technical Sales Rep from Dimension-Polyant France, handed over our Sail Repair Kit to Linaa Rixgens. We hope that Lina and all the other participants will make it across the Atlantic without any major repairs, but in a race like this it's just good to have a little backup.
