Thinner-lighter-stronger: The Tyra is back, and even better than before. Our highlight product for performance racers is now also available in a version for club racers who want to sail at the highest level. The ultra-thin material enables sailmakers to create sophisticated designs for different applications.
Our Tyra Technology®, the heart of the black Club Racing Composite, ensures a significant weight reduction of around 40 percent compared to classic laminates. At the same time, the multiaxial use of our Tyra UD® tapes provides enormous profile stability – even in high winds. The new Light Skin® coating ensures greater resistance to abrasion and therefore improved durability. It also makes the material resistant to climatic influences such as cold and heat as well as strong sunlight.
