Why do you produce your sailcloth in Germany and the USA?
We have been producing our sailcloth on our own looms since 1966, unlike many of our competitors. Even our laminates are produced in-house in Kempen (Germany) or Putnam (USA). Social and ecological sustainability is very important to us and we are convinced that our experienced employees and our natural environment are the backbone of our business. That is why we want to treat them as carefully and respectfully as possible.

Where can I get advice about my new sail?
If you have any questions about your new sail and the best sail design, ask a sailmaker you trust. You can also find suitable contacts in our sailmaker search or just write us an email.
-
Which sailmaker do you recommend?
Choosing the right sailmaker is very individual. Racing sailors, cruising sailors, yacht sailors or dinghy sailors have completely different requirements for their sails and therefore also for the sailmaker. Get in touch with them personally and you will soon find out whether they are right for you or whether you should consult our sailmaker search again.

Which sailcloth is the best one?
That’s a very difficult question, because it depends on your boat, your spot, your preferred conditions and so on. For a first selection, our product overview with its filter possibilities provides an overview. If you have specific questions, please contact a sailmaker.

How can I identify a good sail?
You can identify a high-quality sail by its proper workmanship and, of course, by the Dimension-Polyant sailcloth. If you are not sure, it is best to ask a sailmaker.
