The onyx range has something for everyone who strives for performance and optimum power when sailing. Like many other gemstones, onyx is particularly hard and durable. You will find this characteristic in our products. Thanks to our many years of experience in the field of sailcloth, we are constantly working on optimizing our fabrics and laminates to make them even more efficient and durable. Like a gemstone that is cut to perfection: Precision in black!

Less water and chemicals for black products

Dimension-Polyant focuses on sustainability during production. While conventional products are expensively dyed afterwards, the dye in onyx products is added before the spinning process, resulting in up to 75% water savings. The chemicals used for the dyeing process are even reduced up to 90% compared to subsequent dyeing. Neither water nor dye is subsequently used in the production of the fabrics.

In addition, these solution-dyed fabrics have increased UV resistance, which has a positive effect on durability. That’s the best way to have a positive impact on the environment for sailors.
