PE Black Line
One of Dimension-Polyant’s strengths is to further develop successful materials for special applications in different directions. We have done the same with our polyester-based PX line, which now has a so-called “PEN sister” in the form of the PE line. PEN versions are based on the same construction as the PX line. However, particularly high-modulus PEN yarns are processed in the warp direction. As a result, the fabrics from the PE line impress with 30 to 40 percent less stretch than the basic polyester version.
Products from this series – also known as PEN XPLY® – are the ideal choice for all cases where low elongation is a top priority but aramid yarns must not be used. The strong fabrics are manufactured with our patented X-PLY® construction and come to the sailmaker of your choice perfectly laminated and equipped with Dimension-Polyant’s reliable UV protection.
